HOME STAGING & INTERIOR DECORATING IN VANCOUVER

Staging Your Home in this Uncertain Real Estate Market in Vancouver

I recently staged a condominium in Kitsilano, that had been on the market for 3 months without a nibble, which for most of us in no surprise. All of us living in Vancouver are waiting & wondering what the real estate market is going to do next, but I’m here to tell you about what you can do as a home owner to make the best of our given situation.

This particular condo has stunning views from the penthouse floor, facing south & west, with views of our beautiful west coast beaches. The condo was empty, outdated & desperately needed a fresh coat of paint. We went a step further & added new light fixtures, door knobs, faucets in kitchen & baths, new blinds (getting rid of the old ripped drapes), pulls on the kitchen cupboards and finished off with beautiful furniture, artwork & accessories. The home owner called me yesterday to say that they had an accepted offer, after 3 short weeks. Regardless of the beautiful views, if a buyer walks into a home, they are hit in the face with everything that is far from appealing, and the majority of people cannot envision how an empty space will look furnished.

Every space needs a focal point & this one most certainly was the view, which I made sure was the first thing you noticed when you walked through the front door. So, if priced right & staged to perfection, Staging can make the difference!
